KBM Law attending AAJ Winter Convention – February 10-13, 2024

This weekend, KBM Law is attending the American Association for Justice (AAJ) Winter Convention in Austin, TX. At AAJ, we are eager to connect with fellow plaintiff attorneys who are committed to addressing sexual assault and abuse within the music and entertainment industries.

Karen Barth Menzies is dedicated to representing women who are survivors of sexual assault and abuse. She is keenly looking forward to engaging with fellow attorneys, advocates, and stakeholders aiming to exchange insights and cultivate new alliances. The power of networking and resource sharing is essential to our efforts to combat sexual assault and abuse in the music and entertainment industries.

Recent convention appearances by Karen include a panel on “Complex Litigation Trials – Tips and Tricks” at the Trial Lawyers of Mass Torts convention in New Orleans, LA, a presentation on “Sex Trafficking and Sexual Exploitation” at the 360 Advocacy conference in Las Vegas, NV, and the Mass Torts Made Perfect conference, also in Las Vegas, where she presented on the California and New York one-year window legislation. Even though the statutory window for survivors of past abuse in these states to file claims has closed, Karen emphasizes that the search for justice for survivors is continuing and viable.

If you’re attending the AAJ Winter Convention, let’s connect and share insights on this critical topic.
