Kristina Sarhadi has filed an amended complaint with allegations Anti-Flag frontman Justin “Sane” Geever, who she is suing for predatory behavior, sexual assault, and statutory rape, has liquidated his assets, transferred money out of the country, and is planning to flee the United States.

This weekend, KBM Law is attending the American Association for Justice (AAJ) Winter Convention in Austin, TX. At AAJ, we are eager to connect with fellow plaintiff attorneys who are committed to addressing sexual assault and abuse within the music and entertainment industries.

New lawsuits shed light on how power disparity between young artists and those who sought to exploit their talents can lead to abusive experiences.

This weekend, KBM Law will be participating in the Trial Lawyers of Mass Torts (TLMT) convention in New Orleans, LA. At TLMT Karen Barth Menzies will be speaking at the “Complex Litigation Trials Tips and Tricks” presentation with Tom Pirtle serving as the moderator. The panel includes seasoned plaintiff and defense mass tort trial lawyers and a federal judge who handles mass tort and complex litigation.

Jane Wiedlin, co-founder of the iconic 80s rock band the Go-Go’s, recently stepped forward to disclose her harrowing experience as a survivor of sexual abuse and molestation to Rolling Stone. At the vulnerable age of 15, Wiedlin endured an assault by Rodney Bingenheimer, the renowned KROQ rock DJ and then-owner of a prominent West Hollywood nightclub, where the assault took place.

As originally reported in Rolling Stone, Kristina Sarhadi has filed a lawsuit against Justin Sane (frontman of the punk rock band Anti-Flag) for sexual assault under New York’s Adult Survivors Act. The lawsuit also names the band’s distribution company, which includes other band members.

Uber drivers have sexually assaulted thousands of riders according to the company’s own internal reports. Lawsuits on behalf of assault survivors claim Uber has known about the problem since 2014, when it “started charging Uber passengers an extra $1 Safe Ride Fee.” Despite this, after hundreds of millions of rides, Uber “never earmarked the money for safety or spent it on safety.”

Kari Krome, co-founder of the 70s rock band the Runaways has named former KROQ rock DJ Rodney Bingenheimer in a sexual assault lawsuit filed in Los Angeles County. The lawsuit also names the estate of the Runaway’s manager Kim Fowley.
